Abundant Health Massage & Bodywork - bio

Christina’s earliest memory of massage was at the age of 4 years old when her mother was pregnant with Christina’s twin brothers.  Pregnancy didn’t suit her mother’s small frame very well and Christina remembers many long afternoons and evenings spent kneeled by her mothers side, rubbing baby oil into all the tender areas of her legs and back.

It wasn’t until Christina suffered a debilitating back injury as a teenager that she experienced the healing benefits of massage first-hand.  Opting out of the expensive  surgery strongly urged by her team of neurologists, family and friends, she turned to the decidedly different, homeopathic approach to healing herself.  By using a combination of massage, chiropractics and physical therapy she was on the road to recovery while  simultaneously establishing the roots of what is now the foundation of her career; challenging the western mind-set that if something hurts, simply cutting it open and taking it out is the best solution.

Christina graduated from one of the nations most prestigious massage schools where she developed this fundamental intuition down to an intricate science.  And then went on to expand her knowledge in the philosophy and principals in the 5,000 year old healing science of Ayurveda for an additional year to present time.  Her special technique integrates range of motion, posture and gait analysis, and incorporates methods of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, Thai, Hot Stones and Reflexology techniques, as needed, for the most efficient and effective results.  Christina will locate those individual troublesome areas while encouraging the body to function as one complete, connective unit rather than separate entities.

Christina attended East West College of the Healing Arts and is nationally certified and holds an Oregon State license granted by the Oregon Board of Massage Therapy.   License # 14261

“Though helping the body feel better is a natural effect of bodywork, I’m more interested in helping the body to work better, indefinitely.”
